Space battle and ground battle being connected

Was reading about how players will have spaceships and there might be space battles. Would be cool if you were over run or outgunned in a ground battle, you could call nearby players in orbit to do an airstrike for you. Maybe an orbital strike or you could laze a target to guide them in for a strafe. You would have that anxiety of if the pilot will save you or miss the target and hit you with a danger close. Would give a new way to play. Some players might hang out in orbit waiting to do airstrikes.
