How Hive will look.
I've been thinking about something that would be really cool for the hive. If Bungie made x amount of different arms, x amounts of different legs, bodies, heads and colours; they could make each hive generate different. Maybe 1 in every 1000 will be the same, but there is still the size variable. I think it would be awesome for 2 reasons. 1. It's just awesome. 2. No person is the exact same meaning no zombie (in this case space zombie) could be the same. I want to know what people think about this idea. Thanks for your comments.

I don't see any reason for this considering the Hive aren't playable, they're just enemies like the cabal and the fallen.

4 RepliesWe don't know if they are zombies in the way that they take over another creatures body OR they are mindless (and being controlled by something). I would bet on the latter. The hive remind me of insects. And as you know, all ants/bees, etc. Look the same. So, that being said, a 'hive' is a colony of bees. So I think the hive are controlled by a head hive leader. OR maybe there are many hive leaders that control their squads. I don't think they are the traditional zombie/flood.

In the character development video there is three variants to the hive, the top carries a weapon, then the queen.

2 RepliesI do remember some concept art from Bungie that diplayed the hive and some looked different from the others,one of them i thought was a zombie-fied Fallen.

You can see three Hive that look the same in this video (the ones with the guns). Too bad, I really liked this idea.

2 RepliesI don't see that as a necessity in Destiny. Think of them like bees: they all work together, move together, look the same, and take orders from a leader.

Sounds like you could make a interesting story/side quest.

It sounds like an awesome concept. I think there are lots of games that should be doing this. I think though that it may be too early to know if this appearance would be cohesive with the species history.
