I want to print this screen so I can cut the CoD out stick it in a blender with milk and eat it with my morning bowl of brainz.

None of the above
-
It seems like something new to me

For me, Destiny takes all the best bits of: Halo, Mass Effect, Borderlands and Star Wars.
-
It's probably gonna be a mix with some extra influence from borderlands but obviously most of it will be original content and stuff but the shared world shooter is most like borderlan
-
Probably borderlands. Even though I've never played it, I know about s It's many guns and team type gameplay. So probably borderlands.

labels are bad, it's going to be like destiny

I think it has a little bit from each, and I think it's to Destiny's advantage that it has no defined genre. People always seem to treat games differently once they label it, subject it to an unintentional pre-defined framework that those games should be limited to. Destiny doesn't have a definitive identity, and I think that speaks a lot about how much Bungie is breaking away from the gaming convention molds we've become accustomed to. ... Damn. The more I think about how exciting it will be to try something genuinely new for once, the more I really want to play Destiny.

I think most people will be pleasantly surprised.

It looks sort of like Halo: Reach to me.

Edited by Banned n3rd: 11/21/2013 4:29:09 AMIt will be like a combination of all of these games. This isn't a bad thing. All of those are good games (or at least were at one point).

It will be like certain aspects of all of those games except CoD.
-
You mentioned SWKotOR, you sir, have earned a follower!
-
Take Halo, mix it with Guild Wars (First one that is). I believe that is what it will be like.
-
Nah man, it's its own thing. I hate categorizing or expecting games to be like other games.
-
Destiny will be like Halo meets Borderlands. I Can't say Mass Effect. No I literally can't! It hurts too much! I MISS YOU, TALI!!!
-
I liked Mass Effect 3 because it felt like Halo more than Halo 4 did. If Destiny can give me a little bit of Mass Effect, with some Halo and a pinch of Borderlands, I will be satisfied. However, Destiny will work the best when it is its own game, as fresh and unique as the original Halo was.

This game will change the Fps genre forever.
-
Bungie is revolutionizing and pioneering. I personally believe that if anyone were to compare Destiny to any other game, it would be a waste of breath, because it's not going to be like any other game.

Many people are drawing several similarities between Borderlands and Halo, and I can understand why, with the loot system, combat, and what not. I'm not sure exactly how it might be in line with the MW series, however the narrative of the story does shine hope for something as interactive and interesting as Kotor/ME.
