Why did bungie make the game to were myou have to have a internet connection on at all times to play anything on the game even solo?

I think it's because the point of the game is to play it cooperatively and interact with other players.

Because its an online game that draws its information from the server not the disc. Apparently this makes it easier for the console to operate as its sharing the work load.
