Console gaming is nearing it's end!
This video above shows the disgrace that the new consoles are already! As a console gamer who has only done console gaming, this is killing me to know this might just be the end of gaming consoles. Both the PS4, and the Xbox One are both looking to be complete failures. Neither consoles are even beginning to show me that they deserve the title 'Next-Gen'. Seriously guys, what the hell is going through everyone's minds?! The gaming industry, and gamers alike. They are crazy enough to make consoles that are barely even better than current Gen consoles, if I even dare say that. Not to mention, these are GAMING CONSOLES! They should be targeted towards the gaming market. But all these consoles are doing are mutating into 'Entertainment Consoles', if you can even call it that, the only entertainment I can see getting from either of these consoles is probably hearing from people all over freaking out because the two biggest giants in the gaming industry are both going to start plummeting towards the under regions of hell where they belong!
Oh speaking of which, could I actually watch that on the Xbox One's TV portion if I bought One? I heard they have so many channels! As a matter of fact, if I watched TV I would even drop my provider and just watch the Xbox One's channels; oh what's that you say? The Xbox One doesn't even have any channels, and you have to plug in your Cable box into your Xbox One to watch TV? What makes Microsoft think I can't watch TV without the Xbox One?! But I do have to give both consoles great props though, even though both consoles are going to fail horribly! At least fish move out of the way when you swim near them in water, congratulations Microsoft, and Sony, you have failed in the worst ways you possibly could! You didn't even market towards gamers, you marketed towards Sports fanatics, and couch potatoes, who just like to watch TV all day!
I have to ask everyone, what do you think about the upcoming 'consoles'? Are they worth buying? Or is it an insult to you that they would even offer this to you?!

Its funny that tehy are being called a failure, mainly because they didnt focus on next gen gaming, which we know is going to part of the system, but rather on new features to make the device more versatile.

Xbox One is not the train wreck it's made out to be. That said the PS4 is still more appealing for the use I'd get out of it compared to the Xbox One.

Didn't Microsoft do away with it's DRM policies due to complaints not too long ago? Cause that would make alot of the complaints in the video you posted invalid. To answer your question, I THINK that the upcoming consoles will be worth buying, so long as MS sticks with their no "no DRM" policy and Sony doesn't surprise us with DRM policies. However, I'm going to wait till launch to give a verdict. I also believe that the Wii-U has POTENTIAL to be a good console, they just need to get some mind blowing games on there already "cough" Zelda and Smash Bros. "cough".

If I buy one, it'll be the PS4. Once my Xbox 360 goes kaput of course, after all the single player games have been played when I give up buying Xbox Live. PS1 and PS2 for life <3.

2 RepliesI'll be buying one. Not sure when though. If NHL 14 was on the new systems I'd buy them day 1. But i'll probably get an Xbox one when the new halo comes out. And yes, I LOVE the entertainment features on the new xbox. Plus I just like gaming more on a console than I do on a PC.

You said a lot without really saying anything. Your post was just you rambling on about how you think the console market is dead when the next gen consoles have broken records on amazon for preorders. They are by no means going to be failures.

Ok I agree they are going towards the "entertainment device" but if look at ever single game console generation change they has not been a major leap from they very top very latest old-gen to the new-gen at the beginning give it a year- 2 years for developers getting used the hardware and a bit of practise they will be much better

I will be buying Xbox One, no interest in PS4 or PC gaming. I've always hated PC gaming, for the most part.

also you know the reason they added all of those entertainment features is because a survey was done that showed people do more than just game on console and want more than to just game that's why all of those features were covered and added and if you don't belief me option one Google the survey or option 2 look up game informer's website and look around for one of their articles released concerning the above mentioned.

I am both a PC and console gamer. I like both of them differently and for different reasons. I like pc for really one reason: Steam. Great sales, constantly reliable and has fantastic community support. I like console for the competitive, comfort and simplicity of it. I look forward to the next-generation of consoles FAR more than whatever the next update for steam or my next pc. If the xbox one has tv support, i'm not going to complain. I don't care. As long as i get some decent games out of my xbox one then i'm content.

7 RepliesThey're actually a good deal greater than current-gen platforms that are nearing a decade in age (their custom-designed parts have offset the bulk of that, fortunately). Most of the stuff you're seeing now has been rushed for a release at launch, much like how the first 360 and especially the first PS3 games looked like glorified Xbox titles. However, I digress, at least on the point of the plateauing of console hardware. It looks like this jump won't be as big as the jump from the standard-def Xbox to the HD 360.

4 Repliesgreat, do i care about anything this guy says? no. im buying an xbox because i want to play halo and all the other games coming out for it. i don't give a shit who buys an xbox or who buys a ps4, thats their decision, not mine. if people are interested and want to spend the money they earned (im sure they aren't just gonna go out, throw their money at stores and grab what ever console is promoted the most) they are gonna see which they like the most and which has the best benefits.
