What are the objectives of your political ideology?
Pretty self-explanatory. What do you identify as, politically, and what are the goals of your ideology? I'm talking end goals, here, rather than specific policy approaches to meeting those goals.

Strive for a state of equal opportunity across all demographics of citizens, without sacrificing personal liberties. Maximize education potential in every conceivable field of expertise, minimize xenophobia with exemplary international diplomacy, and stamp out corruption in both politics and economics by holding the government and exorbitantly wealthy accountable for the effects of their choices on the middle and lower classes and on the environment.

Reduce govt. funded campaigns, reduce foreign spending, reduce the military, reduce the debt. Increase education standards, increase investments, increase public security, increase personal privacy. Govt. should protect and serve the people, not profit from them.

Most of my political views are reflective of my faith, but I am all in favor of more power to states (USA) and smaller areas because it helps account for diversity and minorities.

I am a strict-Constitutionalist. My views are as the title suggest, I believe in a very narrow/strict interpretation of The Constitution, to the point where others (and myself to a degree) view me as a Libertarian. I believe you have a right to yourself in terms of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I believe you should not be forced to care for your neighbor just because it is the right thing to do. I believe imposing your moral will on others through legislation is an act of barbarianism, regardless of how noble such a law may be. My objective of my political ideology is for people to learn that they are the primary source of their own well being, they must learn to care for themselves and not have any outside force do it for them. If they wish to do so anyways they are free to make that choice (As I do not force my moral will on others), but to not allow others to care for themselves brings me back full circle to the above paragraph.

Not like the super racist kind but I do think some races carry most of the weight while other races just sort of leech so in my mind it would be better if the races held separate nations. I just want this country to continue having the freedoms it has always had. I want truths to be spoken. I am sick of censorship. I am sick of political correctness. I am sick of one specific side pandering to people of color and homosexuals just so they can retain power. I am sick of how much money we spend on wars and how much time we spend worrying about other peoples problems when we have our own set of problems right here in the US. I want all illegal immigrants out of this country and I want our borders permanently closed. I am sick of the two party system. Until we start voting for non republican non democrats, politicians will continue to excessively lie. I think you should have to display an average level of intelligence to vote maybe make a voting test that only the people who pass can vote or something like that. I don't even know if I answered your question. I think I am sick of dealing with US politics in general. Everything is so -blam!-ed

There are times where it is appropriate to raise taxes, and there are times where it is appropriate to lower taxes. I do not believe the minimum wage should be raised, but I think it should be indexed to inflation. I support the welfare state. Concerning welfare, the requirements to receive it should be very, stringent while simultaneously ensuring that those who genuinely need it get it. I'm socially liberal. As for foreign policy, I think it should be [i]slightly[/i] more assertive than it is now. Concerning education, I realize it should be well funded, but I also know that throwing money at it won't necessarily have a positive effect. I think that special interests, lobbying, etc. are a blight on politics.

15 RepliesSince I'm going into college, I've decided to eschew any sort of political label. I consider myself open to almost every conceivable political ideology across the political spectrum, minus radical fringe theories such as Nazism or other forms of ethnic supremacy.

THANK YOU. So many people just spout their ideals without visualizing a goal first and that's a huge problem. I'm not entirely sure what I want but it'll be somewhere along the lines of consuming only what you need to live and nothing more. As much as I love technology and information, I'd give it all up to have a community of people who subsist off of each other.
