Broken Dualshock 4 :(

Yesterday after one weekly, one daily and one random Strike, my dualshock died on me :( L2 button snapped inside which left me with 'aim on'. It looks that sony did cut few corners with quality of their pad. Fortunately it is only few quid on ebay to get a new button. However as it is my day off today, I'll try little bit of DIY first :-)

  • This happened to me when my right trigger broke during a game of Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare with my boy. I quickly looked online and there is a ton of videos on how to fix this. The trigger has two lugs on each side which it pivots on. One of this has a spring on it and the stress causes this lug to break. You have to open the controller up (the videos will explain all this, it's easy!) take away the spring and broken lug, fix the trigger back with the remaining lug and you're good to go! It works pretty good.
