Cheeky cave in the Nexus makes it a bit easier
So it's the weekly heroic, and nightfall this week too. Nasty void splash damage makes the end boss almost impossible.
Malop, Colpot and I were about to give up after our 7th/8th fail, and then we found this cheeky cave in the final arena. Drop down off the ledge at the start, (if you camp there you get a Minotaur up the behind every 1-2 minutes) then look behind you to the left – there's a plain wall, with volcanic rocks either side – there's gaps around the sides of this wall.
Behind is a safe zone where the fireteam can set up with the middle man reviving while the others at the edges fire at the boss/adds.

Done it last night on weekly 1 on minotaur 2 with max damage void snipers move back in out of blast boss turns his back gives you chance to unload 5 good shots each

6 RepliesI managed to solo nightfall - there is a great spot up tot he left as you drop into the room. The following video on YouTube explains it, worked a treat for me as it is the first time i have done NightFall and managed it on my own so its a solid strategy. http://youtu.be/e2psoLfqm2Q When you are there you just need to watch your back in case you get sniped. Other than that you should do it (Just needs synthesis)

Used this spot to solo the weekly heroic on 28 last night, hopefully put what i learned in to practice in the nightfall later :)

One guy kites the Minotaur back out of the cave while the other two void down the boss. Not without it's hairy moments but done relatively simply.
