To put it quite simply- WE ROCK. Have you ever noticed how you login to play a multiplayer game and almost immediately your enjoyment is destroyed by some petulant twit who seems to have nothing better to do than try and tick off you and everyone else playing the game? Annoying, isn't it? That is the antithesis of what the DoD ArchAngels are about. We are a group of like-minded individuals with families and careers who like to get together and regulate the Darkness like nobody's business. We like to kick butt and chew bubblegum, but we're usually all out of bubblegum. This is the type of group where your sense of humor and class will get you a whole lot farther than your k/d ratio. If any of this sounds appealing to you, by all means, let your freak flag fly and join up! I promise you will not regret it. Happy hunting!

Educate me on Quickscoping

So a hotfix is going live tomorrow and Bungie says it's going to fix a bug that allows quickscoping on some weapons. I youtube'd some videos of quickscoping and it just looks like some guys are REEEAAALLLYYY good at shooting with a sniper rifle. Is the bug that the gun automatically centers on a target or something? Why is this something that Bungie wants to eliminate? Is there an unfair advantage? I totally understand how it would be frustrating to be on the receiving end of a quickscoper, but why is it being eliminated? Thanks for your help, DoDs! flyboydrury09

  • When you quick scope, you line up the shot and tap the trigger to aim down sights, but fire before it's actually finished transitioning to the aimed view. Thus you get the advantage of the higher accuracy the game grants to a scoped shot, without the loss of situational awareness. I just saw the patch notes as well and I assume they're just making sure you don't get the improved accuracy until the gun has fully switched to the scoped view.
