To put it quite simply- WE ROCK. Have you ever noticed how you login to play a multiplayer game and almost immediately your enjoyment is destroyed by some petulant twit who seems to have nothing better to do than try and tick off you and everyone else playing the game? Annoying, isn't it? That is the antithesis of what the DoD ArchAngels are about. We are a group of like-minded individuals with families and careers who like to get together and regulate the Darkness like nobody's business. We like to kick butt and chew bubblegum, but we're usually all out of bubblegum. This is the type of group where your sense of humor and class will get you a whole lot farther than your k/d ratio. If any of this sounds appealing to you, by all means, let your freak flag fly and join up! I promise you will not regret it. Happy hunting!

Headset Recommendations/Thoughts

Hey all! Now that I realize that I talk REALLY loudly when using my Samsung Galaxy S4 earbuds with my PS4 controller, I'm looking into buying a headset that has microphone monitoring (a function that plays my own voice back into my ears so I can hear myself talking). I don't care if it's wireless or if it is wired into my PS4 controller, but I don't want something that has to wire into the PS4 itself. Also, I don't care about surround sound. My current earbuds are stereo and that's all I really need right now because I don't do PvP; 95% of my gaming is PvE. Lastly, about $100 is all I want to spend (maybe $120 at the most). Currently, I'm eyeing the Turtle Beach Stealth 400 headset. Does anyone else have this headset? What are your thoughts on other headsets? Thanks for your input! PS: I don't want to start arguments, so please try to be as objective as possible with any suggestions you have.

  • Hey everyone! Thanks for all of your responses. I kinda had my mind made up and decided to splurge the extra few bucks and got the Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 500P. Lovin it so far.

  • I use the original PS3 Wireless headset. Still works like a charm and I have had no complains about my voice. Only problem I found was when I almost lost the dongle for them.

  • I ended up with these for $20 as they are very well rated and act purely for chat and not game audio. TRITTON Kaiken Mono Chat Headset for PlayStation 4 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K786AFE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  • I have the Sony Gold headphones too, really happy with them. Work way better than my Jabra Bluetooth IEMs. The mix toggle between game and chat audio is handy too

  • I have the Sony Gold for 69 I think I paid on Amazon. They sound great fit well and last plenty long. When I first got them I didn't pay close attention and had the controls on the right side of my head, this lead me to be virtually unheard from the mic. So make sure the controls are on the left, not right. For the price can't go wrong with the golds.

I have the PX22 that Turtle Beach makes. Paired it with a Turtle Beach DSS 7.1 Dolby Decoder. It's awesome, and it was about the same price I had paid for the Sony Golds, which were not to my liking.

    • I have the Earforce PX4 turtle beach headset and really do enjoy using it. I know that there are other headset brands out there, but I have found myself more impressed with the quality of Turtle Beach. I have to say that after listening to the surround sound, I really got spoiled.

Hey Flyboy, I got the Sony Gold for $80 from Amazon and I really liked them. Simulated surround sound and a preset eq from the PSN store specifically for Destiny! I ended up getting the Astro A50 because I live in an apartment and my wife has the house so I bought myself something nice. That being said you can't go wrong with the Sony. Takes two seconds to hook up and your off. Enjoy! Hope to get back in a raid with you soon.

      • I got the Sony headset when I got my whole Destiny bundle system. I find it works well. I believe it has a way to have you hear yourself but I find that distracting so I have it off. The microphone is sensitive enough that I don't have to talk very loud to be heard. Since Krazy is using a different brand, I can say that he is easily heard. I have an older turtle beach for my xbox360 and I liked it well enough too. Don't think you can go wrong with Turtle Beach either.
