Wow.
Diaz, 22, was shot in the head Saturday night as he tried to drive away from Sailors’ home on Hillcrest Road in Lilburn, the warrant states.
...
Friends of Diaz, of Duluth, told Channel 2 Action News that he and others were trying to find a friend’s house, but their GPS instead led them to the home on Hillcrest Road, off Indian Trail Road.
After seeing the car in his driveway, Sailors came out of his home, went back inside, then came out again with a gun and shot in the air, Yeson Jimenez, 15, told Channel 2. Jimenez said he and his brother were in the car with Diaz, along with a female passenger.
Diaz tried to drive away, but Sailors shot again, striking Diaz in the head, according to police.
http://www.ajc.com/news/news/man-69-accused-of-killing-man-who-went-to-wrong-ho/nT8xp/
An attorney for Sailors told Channel 2 the man shot because he feared his life was in danger.
“He is very distraught over the loss of life from the defense of his home,” attorney Michael Puglise said. “This incident happened late in the evening hours when he was home with his wife and he assumed it was a home invasion and he maintains his innocence.”
I'm not quite sure how to respond to this.
Is there anyone who believes that shooting the guy was justified? It kinda reminds me of the guy who shot and executed the two teenagers who broke into his house a while back.. just a lot worse.

This is a sick world.
-
-blam!-ing redneck jerk off.
-
For trigger happy rednecks, anything is justified. MUH HOUSE, MUH LAWN AND MUH RULES!
-
A 7 month old thread? -blam!- off.
-
Who in the -blam!- shoots at somebody for accidentally pulling in their drive way. If I did that I would be a mass murderer by now. Stupid people and guns don't go together.
-
Let's ban mistakes.
-
The GPS was clearly possessed by satan.
-
Should have pulled into their own damn driveway
-
Wait, this thread is old as hell. Stop the freakin' bumping!
-
The man seems to be pretty stupid.
-
We should make like Feudal Japan and ban guns.
-
Edited by Enlightened One: 8/19/2013 2:00:11 AMHe was not justified. -You don't do warning shots -You must identify that it is, 100% a threat. Someone sitting in their car, in your drive way is not a threat.
-
This is what I hate about American gun culture. People are so stupid they shoot first ask questions later. And they're aren't even prepared to accept responsibility for killing someone? Pathetic.
-
The solution is more guns
-
This is exactly why they should ban GPS devices.
-
murica people!!!! too much fat people and rednecks
-
I love Europe
-
"I wuz defendin muh freedom!" Said every NRA dipshit ever.
-
This is why you don't give people guns. People are stupid.

Edited by Gruntzilla24: 1/30/2013 8:46:29 PMIf anyone has ever seen Bowling for Columbine, do you remember the part where he was in Canada? When he walked up to multiple houses to see if they lock their doors (which a lot of them don't)? Why is it that they think its funny that he walked into their house, yet we have gun owners firing away at every suspicious person on their property? This is not about gun control, this is about the gun culture. We're so paranoid and violent, causing us to be so well armed.
-
That's tragic. People like that home owner shouldn't be allowed to have a gun license.
-
This is so cOLD
-
This one isn't justified. They were in the car, leaving. That's like shooting someone in the back as they are walking away.
-
Wow, knee-jerk reaction times a billion. It would make me think twice about going into someone's driveway to initiate a three point turn o__o

This one is quite sad, since the guy in the car didn't do anything wrong. However the guy who shot the two little shits who broke into his home is perfectly justified imo.
