If we legalize it (going against certain people's religions), it's not like the respective deities of said religions are all of a sudden going to let them into heaven or whatever simply because we legalized it. Legalizing it against said religions' protest doesn't automatically make the deities go "welp, now we have to let them in because the humans said it was okay."

Just say "I am a redneck hick that hates all gays because a 2,000 year old fairy tale was misinterpreted and I was told to hate them or everyone will know I secretly want a man to make sweet love to my face" and be done with it. I still don't understand why this wasn't legalized in the first place. We are still debating over such an old issue, and we're treating gays like second-class citizens through this. I don't understand why they don't deserve marriage. Is there such thing as non-religious marriages?

5 RepliesIt shouldn't be illegal, that's just harsh. But its not preferable and I'm not a fan. We should use genetics to phase it out, if you aren't gay, why would you want to be? People should be heterosexual before homosexual, so they can make that decision themselves later in life. But for now, genetics could be tweaked to produce straight children.
