I'm sick of everyone else becoming rich in college from little ideas that become a huge success. I don't like playing an inactive role in my lifes finances. I want to do everything possible to be rich, but I don't know good "college" business ideas.
Anyone here have a business they start or can provide any feedback? I am going to double minor in bio chem and business management, so I will get help eventually.

Yes you can clearly start a business in college, even though you have been bitching about the amount of work you need to do. Sounds like a great idea.

Just keep in mind you still owe me Sonic 2

Bio chem and business management huh.. Seriously but not really, you could be a drug dealer. Pharmaceuticals is a growing business, and a damned good way to get rich if you pull it off right. I have no clue how you'd start that, but check it out. Maybe you could get a job at a local pharmacy and learn the ins and outs of it.

Before you even bother, you should understand that running a business is hard work and that you're pretty much just not gonna get rich and famous. People like Gates, Zuckerberg, Ferruccio Lamborghini, all used their technical skills to fill a gap in a market they understood thanks to their technical know-how. Having a business degree alone is unlikely to get you there on its own.

Edited by DarkSunnyboy: 3/31/2013 11:41:38 PMSince I have some experience with this, let me just say, don't try. You chances of getting "rich" are close to zero. Put your hard work into something more attainable.

Why don't you return my messages, baby?

I'll give you one of my many business ideas. It's like Facebook, but instead of friends you have enemy's. You can only dislike someone's post, it's basically the antithesis of Facebook or Twitter.
-
Are you sure you're smart enough?
-
Invent Facebook but call it something slightly different

You could sell your body. I here plenty of older men like to pay for young college boys to make them fee young again.

Edited by B3ar: 3/28/2013 11:18:20 PMI have one for you start a goodwill donation service at the end of semesters for college students. Have students pay you $10-$25 or whatever for you to remove stuff out of their dorm and donate it to goodwill for them. Most college students have a ton of stuff they cant take home by the end of the year so youd be providing a good service and also making money for yourself. Gotta set up a very easy to navigate/use website and advertise it throughout the year and then build it up to bring to other universities way down the road you'd be surprised how much crap people throw out at the end of their stay. People would be willing to pay to avoid that hassle
-
LOL Good luck with that.

HAHAHA. You're complaining about not having any time for sleep as it is, what with being forced to attend frat dances and working on your medical degree. In what world do you think you also have the time to start a business?
I'm sick of everyone else becoming rich in college from little ideas that become a huge success.
Did you just watch The Social Network and believe that every college is going to be chock full of the same situations?
-
Seriously? Something simple. I had a friend who was pulling in mad cash doing dog walking. His catch was that he only did it for the wealthiest people. He advertised that "if people knew that YOUR dog was on his leash, you were rich." Scarily (and predictably) it worked.

Edited by Funkbrotha10: 3/28/2013 9:49:11 PMIf you think you are going to start a business in college. And be one of the "1 in a million" that's going to get rich. You are in for a bad time. For every 1 business that gets started by a college student that has even the slightest of success. There at at least a hundred that have failed. Who is "Everyone Else" anyways. How many people do you know that have gotten rich from buisness ideas they start in college. Life isn't all about getting rich. Failure for those types of "small idea" businesses are, in 99% of cases. A statistical inevitability. In the offchance that you do come up with a good idea, You are a tiny little ant in the market. There are larger corporations that are worth billions of dollars that will come and squish you like a bug. There are easier ways of getting rich than trying to start a buisness. It sounds like you just watched 4 or 5 episodes of "Shark Tank" Which seeded you with horribly unrealistic expectations of what its like to run a startup

Edited by Decimator Omega: 3/28/2013 9:39:42 PMGood luck. Wanna know something? I wanted to start my own game studio in the past. I'm reconsidering that now because the competition is huge and it's hard to stand out from the crowd. Again, good luck.
