So I watched the Avengers again
On the internet again. OMGZ IT TOTALLY SUCKS BATMAN IS MUCH BETTER.
But seriously though, yeah it's kinda good. Yeah, I'm saying a Marvel movie is good. Brilliant actually despite one or two flaws. Like everyone suddenly dying and not a single person firing at hawkeye despite being in the open and killing a bunch of them.
But yeah, it was a fun movie, even got me to go back and watch the first Iron Man again. Not really a big fan of Captain America though. His suit just looks...off.
So just for discussion, your thoughts on the avengers?

Pretty decent, great eye-candy, but there were some weak points.

You can't shoot Hawkeye. He's a -blam!-ing ninja. But yeah, Cap's suit looked like shit.

3 RepliesIf a forgettable flick with cheesy puns and little depth is what you're after, then yeah, it's a good movie for that. You don't have to think much and you can just lean back and let the superhero goodness wash over you. For its worth, I kind of enjoyed it. But is it a good movie, in general? Far from it.

I despise Thor. I'm sorry, but I hated him in his movie, in Avengers, and in the complete sh1tstain that is the trailer for his second movie.

I liked it better than Thor and Captain America but not as much as the Iron Man or Hulk series.

I loved the movie. It's not some life-changing film or a masterpiece of writing, but it's just loads of fun. I'd watch it again in a heart beat.

I enjoyed it. Best in it's own film series so far. There's alot of other comic book movies I like better though.

I don't like superheroes outside ones more grounded in reality like Batman or the Green Arrow, and I loved The Avengers.

Meh. I would watch it as a Sunday movie if there was nothing else on. If there was ever an award for most hyped up overrated film ever it'd be this one. X-Men First Class was much much better.

Personally I think it's the best comic book movie ever made. Yeah, The Dark Knight was good but it dragged on too long and would have suffered terribly if not for Ledger. It was ridiculously fun and, despite what most say, did actually have at least a hint of subtlety and class to it. There's a lot of dumb things about it and watching it at home on a TV feels noticeably less immersive but the gags and the sweet-ass action make up for it.
