I have encountered a shiny tentacool, shiny hariyama, shiny fearow, shiny rayquaza and a shiny geodude. I caught all of them.

My friend encountered a shiny Magikarp once. He didn't believe it was shiny then proceeded to faint it.

Happened to me when I encountered a shiny Golbat, only instead of having no balls, I 1-hit-KOd it with a critical hit when I was trying to weaken it.
