I have out grown society, or simply lost the ability to understand it.
This is more of a mini rant then anything but I would love to hear any and all opinions. Even if you're just gonna call me an idiot.
Why are we in a situation where we have to fight for a voice to try and educate and sophisticate the people who bought their way into power? We need seek to promote positive social change in various ways and start integrating intelligence into all art forms. Being smart use to be lame but now it's cool to be dumb. . .
Being smart is not academic excellence but rather the desire to ask questions, learn and obtain information. You have to believe in yourself and strive to obtain knowledge.
I'm sitting at a crossroads though. You can't redefine truth but the revolution must be marketed. I mean how do you show an outcast from the shadows if they have adopted the view they belong there?
You are not what you wear, you are not what you own, and you are definitely not what you do for a living. You are how you act, how you think, and how you treat others. Take society back for the logical, the compassionate, the caring.

I mean, just reading the hot stories online and watching five minutes of news and I already have a migraine coming on and feel like breaking things. I would launch into my usual wall 'o text rant that nobody ever reads, but the TL;DR of it is that I'm just so fucking sick and tired of this POS song and dance that we call "society". Like anyone cares. Fact is that the ones who don't see the problems are the ones who keep it stagnant; go figure.

7 RepliesI think some of the biggest problems in society stem from the home. Parents don't parent their children anymore. Discipline has become an archaic practice. Parents want technology to raise their children. People don't truly want to be parents anymore! Parenting used to be about the well-being of the children. Moms and dads would spend a lot of time with their children, make family meals, have game nights, and stuff like that. Now? Mom and dad are so immersed in their own lives, and caught up in their own selfish ways, that they just throw money at the children and tell them to keep themselves entertained. Not only is that bad for the child, it is lazy parenting. We are losing site of our basic drives to preserve the well-being of the next generation. All of that leads to this: People don't understand that no means no. People don't understand that life isn't about instant gratification. The youth of our country are being trained to be social and financial ... r.apists.

9 RepliesWell the people who choose not to do well in school can go screw themselves in their trailer homes or ghetto houses. Their problem isn't my problem. America can't compete with other countries in intelligence because we have a lot of rules "protecting" our kids. Teachers need to be able to wack people with meter sticks. I would bet test scores will go up from this. Teach all those ghetto wantabees who think being dumb is cool a lesson.

2 RepliesIt's society that accepted these kinds of standards into the system. People are okay with it, and there's nothing you or anyone can do to change that as long as the majority is content. If everyone really had a problem with how things are, we wouldn't be discussing this.
