Where'd that Legendary/Exotic come from?
If you have legendary or exotic gear, how did you get it?? I've been grinding out blue engrams, but have only gotten my gear up to +19 light, and no legendary or exotics. Now, I understand it's a game of numbers, but maybe there's something more to getting the good good in this game.
So, those of you with that special chest plate, helm, sleeve, or weapon - any best methods/locations/game modes that may have helped you with your success? Using strikes versus grinding spawn points, crucible all the way?

Edited by BlklblXX: 9/21/2014 9:28:08 PMThorn and invective from exotic bounties (working on my third,unknown reward yet though) Sunbreakers from Xur , Voidfang Vestments from Xur engram and Something armaments from leveling up cryptarch... never gotten a lucky drop :/ I do as many bounties as I can and other than that, I think it's just pretty much luck. P.S. as you upgrade your armor, not only does defense rise but so does light. Good luck :)

Okay team, one sure fire way to get legendary gear is to push your Vanguard, Crucible, or Faction level up to level 2 for legendary armor, and level 3 for legendary weapons. This isn't an end game technique, one good week of focus will likely get you there and boost your light level substantially. Good luck out there!

Well... My Hunter has the Ghost Angel Cloak and Chest, which I bought from the Vanguard. My Warlock has the Sunbreakers, which were from the Agent of the Nine.
