Unfulfilled ideas / dreams

I recently went through the yearly age progression and once again I find myself reflecting on 'What do I really want to do with my spare time before I get too old to appreciate it anymore?' For years I have wanted to get back into rebuilding at least an engine that made respectable power, but no ambition to go full on into rebuilding a car. I have no experience with body work at all, so there is a dilemma. But I have finally come to the conclusion that I need to put all my desires into 1 car. -I always wanted a 1969 Mustang Mach I or Boss 302. Both are unrealistic for me to acquire. -Since getting my current Mustang SVT Cobra convertible, I don't want to go without a convertible, ever again. They're just too much fun. -There is something in me that needs the car to be able to be able to do what it sounds like it can do. That would require a roll bar, just in case. That boils down to finding and rebuilding a '69 convertible to look something like this only with this paint job, or something similar. Then comes that whole money issue. Dream crushed again. Anybody else have any unfulfilled dreams? (Does not absolutely have to be automobile related)

Actually, one of my life goals, which I'm 90 percent certain I'll never accomplish, is to drive the Pan-American Highway. Start in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, and finish as close to Cape Horn as possible. However, I know that for me, at this time, it's highly unlikely that this will be feasible. It's still something I want to do, but the reality of it is much more disheartening. As life finds a way, so it too will get in the way. There, absolutely, I feel, must be a perfect storm of events to allow even the window of opportunity to open for me to do it. But I'm no soothsayer, I can no more tell you my future than tell you yours. It very well could be that my percentages will change with time. I'm just gonna say that until you are old man with a cane old, or Cobravert old, I wouldn't discount things like these from happening. Discount double check.
