So lately I've been thinking I want new seats for my Celica. My seats aren't bad but I think I want some with a bit better side bolstering. here are what my current seats look like,(not my car though but very similar looking.) and here are the recaros I want. I've found the recaro's for about $700 shipped but I'm not sure if I want to spend that much. Advice?

The recaros look like ricer shit
-
No, they look like crap compared your current seats, and since I'm assuming you're not living in a fast and furious movie your stock seats will probably be better overall anyway.
-
I should have looked at the pictures before my first response. Then I was going purely on the cost=/=need. As for aesthetics, OH HELL NO don't get the Recaros. Your current seats far and away look so much better than those. The Recaros pictured look almost exactly like the car seats my sons had. And no I'm not kidding.

dat fabric do looks like something form a baby car seat

The seats you have now look better imo

Edited by CAMMCAM: 3/13/2014 12:28:18 PMNah. Unless you just want it to look cool. It's definitely not needed.

This is what they would look like in my car.
-
No. Why? It looks fine the way it is.
-
I feel like they are great seats but would look weird in your car considering you have leather interior and the seats are cloth. I've never bought aftermarket seats but that seems a bit pricy IMO (however I stress that I am clueless on what they would cost new vs used or how good of a quality they are)
-
I'm having a hard time understanding people who hate the center cloth section that looks like it came fresh out of a late 1980's factory It's -blam!-ing awesome, what is wrong with everyone
-
Keep the seats you have. The design on those Recaro seats looks so old it reminds me of the seats in my grandmother's car. If they were a bit more modern-looking, then maybe I would say yes to them, but that horrendous patterning screams no go.

you should get an abortion
-
Basic questions would be how much do you actually track your car, and in general I approve. If you don't track your car very often then it may not worth it, and autocrossing comes to mind. the best thing GM did with the refreshed Camaro's was add the Recaro optioned seats

Anyone else want to weigh in?
-
If you want to, sure. That fabric is pretty ugly though, like bad 90's ugly. Your current interior looks fine to me, so I wouldn't, but if you want to, then go ahead. Just know that I'll always think you'll look silly.

It's a lot of money for something that really does not make the car faster or more cool. I wouldn't.
