Official League of Legends discussion thread
Thought we could have one, since more members of MBT are starting to play. You know how these things work.
For those that don't know or are interested, league of legends is a free online game where you fight in arenas on teams, trying to destroy the enemy base. Its that RTS-styled field of view, but your champion has skills. Its not an RPG, its not an RTS. Its fun. leagueoflegends.com

You didn't watch IPL5. Caomai of World Elite singlehandedly beat CLG EU with his backdooring. Rengar could backdoor for free before these nerfs.

Rengar dominated and was always banned at IPL5. Riot probably nerfed him because of that.

Yeah. Everyone build that Dirty Laundry. They don't realize that champs like Cass and Karthus and Ryze benefit most cause they spam more. I mean Cass has to shed her skin a lot so thats Dirty Laundry, and Karhus is a dead guy so those robes gotta be stanky. Ryze is a special case cause the scrolls are actually a washable parchment. Things I've learned in the last 2 days of midlane/yolo queue: 1: Ryze and Casseopeia are back in tier 1 status amongst AP carries. Muramana and Seraph's Embrace put Ryze in a whole new level of pain, while Liandry's Torment is a huge boon for Cass. She only gets the full proc with Twin Fang, but it doesn't really matter; you're going to eat so much more damage with it now. 2: Armor shred champions got a boost across the board. Pantheon, Jarvan, Urgot, Wukong, all need to be re-evaluated due to the change in armor pen. In particular, Wukong and Jarvan got the biggest boosts. 3: Tanks have lost a lot of their former dominance. New items/pen rules makes it much much harder to simply sit in the middle of a fight; you need to bring good damage regardless of your role. I don't expect things such as tanky Rengar or unkillable Cho'Gath to be around much longer. 4: Barrier hasn't made a huge impact yet, and just might not. Overall, it's a great summoner, but it doesn't give you the reach of an Ignite or Exhaust and it can't save others like Heal can.

Season 3 thoughts so far: 1. Hurricane is so op, especially on Varus and Kog. Only problem I have with it is I wish you could toggle it on/off as it really makes CSing hard. 2. New jungle is nice. Played Hec and Jarven jungle and both cleared pretty well, Hec clears so fast. Really like the new jungle starting item and it's upgrades. 3. Crystalline flask is so nice. I've used it on both jungle and adc and it works so nice so I dont have to buy pots. 4. So far, I've tried a few different starting items for adc. I feel like the new Dorans Blade is the best choice when you want to play a sustain/damage lane. Boots + pots is good if you are facing a high skill shot adc (Ez/Sivir). Also tried out long sword + pots, works decent as you get vamp scepter pretty quick, but this wasn't my favorite build.

So far I'm loving alot of the season 3 changes, especially the boot enchantments. I also really like the Ravenous Hydra. I haven't tried very many of the support items though. Crystalline flask is nice.
