Back to form

What a crazy week the drop of Expansion 1 has been. Some of us stayed up for 24 hours the night it dropped. Some of us went straight into the raid blind and figured out 3/4 fights without guides! We already have a few members at the new 31 level. But with all the excitement around the raid we kinda messed up are scheduled times and such. I'm pretty sure all the raids went off with out a hitch but we did have a couple absences and a few people who were left out. That's why we need to get back into our raiding groups starting next Tuesday. Absences are not a big deal as long as you let someone know you can't be there. Just remember that if you don't show up your leaving 5 other people, friends even, in kind of a weird situation. Luckily last week we were able to fill all the spots and get full clan runs in a lot of the raids. So if your going to be missing your raid just try and let someone know, anyone (an admin would be preferred as we talk to each other quite a bit). Another thing that needs to be addressed is this group, the forum, and the raid times. People need to be informed about it. We still have people not understanding that there are scheduled raid times. This Bungie.net clan page is a great tool for us to use. It lets us communicate when we are not actively dodging bullets and big blue gatekeeps melee attacks. It would help a lot if more eyeballs seen this page. Raid times! We love them, we hate them. YOU DO NOT NEED TO SIGN UP TO RAID! You can raid when ever you like. I encourage it. Get that gear. Get level 31. Get level 32. But be aware that if the six guardians that signed up for a scheduled raid time are online and ready to go, YOU WILL BE PASSED UP. I personally think raid times are great help. It lets me play when I actually have time to play and when I know other people will be on too. So I would encourage you to figure out when you have 3-4 hours to set a side and start a raid team. Talk to any admin and will set your time up and let people know about it. Currently we have one group not full. A couple minor things I think we need to work on; We need to listen when people are explaining new fights. Some of us have more exp. with a fight than others. Let them speak. Try not to interrupt them. We know everyone has questions, but just hold onto them for a bit. It might get answered before the person explaining is done. We're not going to start the fight until we're sure everyone has got a grasp on what they should be doing. We need to not become frustrated. I am completely guilty of this one. We have to keep in mind that these fights are ment to be hard. There suppose to challenge us. So when we're not bathing in the blood of Crota the first time we go into the raid, just know that it should be expected to wipe A LOT. And lastly, we gotta keep the chat clear. When we're all talking at once it's impossible to be strategic. When we're grinding on new raids and stuff lets try and keep the conversation on only what we're doing currently. When we get it down to farming status we can make jokes and laugh and talk shit to each other. But we're not there yet. So let's keep the chat clean and useful in raids going forward. This like everything is just my opinion. I've raided before in a pretty serious guild and everything I described helped us out a lot. But feel free to tell me to -blam!- off. I've heard it before. As always, I'll see you guys in space. -Dell
