Video of Primeguard doing HM VoG

Hey all, I stumbled across this little gem last night while watching some of Datto’s old twitch streams. It’s a video of Primeguard (one of the top tier guilds in Destiny) doing HM VoG. It’s not often you get to watch how elite guilds raid and I think we can take some things away from this as a guild, mainly their professionalism and teamwork. Professionalism - There is a time for goofing off and having fun, but raiding is not one of those times. Sure cracking a joke here and there is all fun and games, but for the most part, raiding is a time of focus and everyone playing at their best. Doing this is incredibly difficult when people aren’t taking it seriously. There’s no reason why we all shouldn’t be able to get through the Gorgon’s maze first time without wiping if people are paying attention, and no one should have to leave the fire team just to make it easier. We are a team and we stick together. Secondly, I think we should stop taking advantage of the various “cheeses” the raid has to offer. If we want to consider ourselves an elite guild than we need to be the guys that do the oracles legit on HM and never push the templar off the edge. I’m not saying that we don’t take raiding seriously (we definitely do compared to most) but its definitely something we could work on. Teamwork - These guys work great together. They know where they are supposed to play, they adapt to unexpected change and they work together. This is what we should strive for. If you don’t want to sit through the entire raid I strongly suggest you watch the entirety of the templar fight from confluxes to downing the templar (its also worth mentioning that the way they do Atheon and deal with the harpies for max DPS on boss is interesting and worth watching). They do legions, the oracles and the templar legit, AND they don’t even let him teleport. Pay particular attention to the way they handle legions, the snipers during the oracles and the teleports during the boss fight (if you choose to watch Atheon too, pay attention to the way they deal with the adds in the portal as well as the last wave of harpies on the outside). Anyways, I’m sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to give everyone a peek into what I want to work on over the next couple weeks before The Dark Below drops and what I hope to continue as we progress though Crota’s End.
