Hard mode of Crotas End not until January!
Deej just posted a blog post talking about a few of the changes that will happen when the dark below hits. We will be able to upgrade are old exotics to be on par with new ones, but it will reset the progression we have in them now. So we have to level them again.
Also it looks like we can immediately jump into the raid. The normal raid. The hard mode raid will be locked until January.

It states that, "Each week, Xûr will possess a selection of upgrades for existing Exotics in his inventory". I wonder if this will include PS4 exclusives? I sure hope so. I can't imagine my Hawkmoon becoming obsolete :(

Yeah I saw that. Pretty awesome that we can start the normal mode raid whenever we want. However I hope that putting hard mode off until January means that we will be occupied with a much more difficult normal mode until then. Also, they mentioned that they are replacing all the faction armor and weapons. So I believe this means that people who have yet to reach lvl 30 on some characters can do so with normal faction gear. Deej stated that their would be new ways to reach level 30 besides raid and iron banner gear. Lastly they mentioned that the raid drops will be more frequent in the new raid than in VoG. So maybe it won't take 60 runs to get the best guns! Can't wait till the 9th! Alex_Supertramp1
