So long... But not forever...
This seems to be a trend going on at the moment....
I'm taking a leave of absence from gaming in general to spend more time with my family.
Destiny has been a huge part of my life since the day it came out and it's the only game that has been in my ps4, bar Dragon Age, but I gave up on that when I realised there was a massive patch to download and then never went back.
It's been awesome being part of a community of like minded gamers who are non judgemental and just want to have a good laugh. I've never really been part of a community like this before, and being an active member has been great fun. My friends list went from 3 to triple digits. If I've gamed with you its been a blast, if I haven't then I look forward to doing so in the future.
I hope that I've contributed something worthwhile and the Help a Brother Out raids continue without my input. Ricehard44 has stepped up once and will continue to do so but I hope that others will volunteer so the load isn't all on one person. I will do this week as a final adieu and then Ricehard44 will do next week, after that we need volunteers.
Reading back it seems like I'm saying goodbye but it's a temporary self imposed exile, I'll be back hopefully before September, harassing you and jumping uninvited into your parties to steal checkpoints. I'll keep up to date with the forum and destiny in general but expect many n00bish questions when I'm back.
Update 16/06 - you guys, you're making me cry big manly butch tears. I showed this to my Mrs, and she relented and said I could play, in her words, "a bit", which still means none, I think.
Just watched a bit of the trailer for the Taken King - very excited as I'm sure all you Guardians are,

Enjoy your hiatus Em, you deserve it and we all owe you a lot for bringing us together. I am just about broken with the lag, PoE and criminal RNG. Played 3 games of control today on each platform and turned the consoles off - XB1 is no different than PS4 If there was a game like Destiny without lag, cheats and RNG I would stop playing it altogether.... Cheers

Just thought I'd pop in and say a few words on your own "bye for now" thread ;) I've got to say mate, mad props to yourself, Kid & the other VoG guides that spend a lot of time paying it forward. I've endeavoured to do the same with those that need guidance / assistance. I remember reading your thread asking for more guides for VoG. I want you to know that I was up for that, but real life responsibilities don't permit me to be as available as I'd like to be. Enjoy your break mate, see you on The Taken King if not before. Pop in and steal a CP anytime lol..

I've not joined you on a HABO raid but what you've done for this clan has been amazing and a big part of what makes this clan what is. Enjoy your break and see you on the other side :-)

thanks for all your help with the all things destiny related bud I remember the first time you dragged me through the VoG that was fun . Take it easy and enjoy your time off and i'll see you in the new raid in September

I was lost in the clan wilderness till i happened on this happy bunch of reprobates. I've never been involved in a gaming community before but i'm comfortable on here and it's because of you and people like you. So thank you and thanks to everyone who's organized,helped,bollocked,mocked,carried and guided me through various activites on here.

Edited by FaarCrow: 6/15/2015 5:22:15 PMI'm relatively new to the game and clan but I must say it was your "help a brother" raid events that got me into raiding and knowing a lot more clan members which really made me start to enjoy the game. So thank you for all the effort you've put into that and for the fun nights of gaming when we've teamed up together. That being said, I understand the need to take a break from these games every once in a while to spend some more time with family and other important real life obligations, so good on you for you doing that. I hope to see you around in a few months and to play with you again. Take care brother.
