Getting the DLC worth it or not just for Galley. Serious question.

As you know at the market today Galley is available. I would have enough coin if the Weekly heroic strike wasn't DLC only this week. I have Taken King pre-ordered (that comes with Year 1 DLC). Is it worth to get just Dark Below now so that I can have what is currently the best weapon in the game or should I just wait til next month and I'll have better weapons anyway? I know I get more content I am just curious.
