I might as well share some early work on the female Hunter I've done to help flesh out these boards some more. :) Not much going on so far, just trying to get a feel for the character then things start to pick up and start looking cool. This is maybe, 8 hours put in on and off over the past couple of weeks.

Edited by WILLsWRATH: 4/3/2013 8:06:39 PMIncremental update. Hardly any time to put into this one over the week (so busy) but still chipping away. Still experimenting with things, mechanical(?) arm took some sketching to try and find something that works (still going to keep an eye on that). Face is coming together. Also made the background different so it's a little more presentable and easier to view. *EDIT* Oh, and after watching the GDC video and seeing all those cool concepts....man can't wait for this game and even to work on some of those concepts. So cool!

Finally starting to get something that feels "right" and in the ballpark (at least for now).

Put a few hours in over the past couple days. Getting back to fundamentals and doing things "properly-ish".

I would make sure all your proportions are correct before you move on. I'm not too sure, but it seems like her torso is too short and her arms aren't long enough. Otherwise, nice start. The pants and leg armor looks great!

You should give her J-cups.

What program are you using? Maya? I've been working on some 3D images in Blender.

I really don't like how overly-profound the beast plate is. I understand female characters in games should look understandably female, but that model is way too overt in my opinion.

Here is a body shot before arriving to the above progress.

This is actually really cool, is this Sculptris? Mudbox?
