So, you may have heard about the Game Informer article that premiered digitally today. The link above leads to JohnGalt's summary of the new details.
Within are a lot of reveals about Race; Awoken are possibly humans that have gone through some transformation, Exos are self-aware droids from the Golden Age and have since been rebooted, wiping their memories.
How is this going to affect your story's universe? If you've already started a series, how do you plan to adapt to the new details concerning Race?
What plans do you have for future characters/stories?

I had to completely change my character. I was working off the idea that the Exo were humans who underwent a form of essence transfer. Once my theory had been dismissed, I was forced to completely rewrite my character. Luckily enough I hadn't done any hardcore writing yet.

The last pieces I wrote were at the beginning of the year and don't make much sense anymore now that I know Exo are machines. I had begun to lose interest, but I actually have found new inspiration. In the coming weeks, I'm going to be trying to lay the ground work for a new work based around an Exo in search of lost memories named Kappa.

I'll just adapt it is all. No muss no fuss.

^Has anyone integrated failsafes into their story universe to allow for this kind of 'change'? I had tried but I'm not sure it's sufficient. At the end of the day, when this decade is over and everything Destiny is unraveled, it definitely won't suffice.
