Tough decision but I would say Halo 3.

Halo 2. Just talking about maps here, and Halo 2 wins that one easily. Halo 3 had some horrible maps, like Isolation and Construct.

Edited by Noshotskill: 7/1/2013 9:32:13 PMWell you know the old community is gone when halo 2 is barely beating out halo 3. Halo 2's maps were 1000x better then halo 3's. *edit* Now Halo 3 is winning... Common guys, I know a lot of you were new when Halo 3 came out, but Halo 3 started the trend of bad Halo maps.

What about Avalanche in halo 3
-
I'd say my most hated maps on Halo 3 are Halo 2 ports
-
I've changed my mind. Halo Reach was without a doubt the pinnacle of Halo map making. Shame on you for not including that perfect game within this list. It is as much a part of the main trilogy as Halo 3 ODST or Halo Wars. The best maps from Reach include: -Pinnacle (Far better than its predecessor) -Paradiso (Best ever big team map) -Countdown (Amazing map, really forced campers to move) But what was the best was Sword Base. Such a great flow to the map. An absolutely flawless stroke of map design. No camping spots, no unfair spawns- it really is the pinnacle of Halo map making. A close runner up was The Cage. That map was exactly what Lockout should have been. Thank you Bungie for such a flawless game.

Halo 2 Halo 2 had the best everything overall though.
-
Halo CE with Death Island, Infinity, Danger Canyon and Timberland. All the PC maps basically
-
I think Halo CE through 3 all had great maps, Reach had some bad maps and Halo 4 had the worst IMO. But in my opinion Halo 2 has the best maps, they were great, original, and really fun to play on.

Edited by Tartan 118: 6/30/2013 11:56:43 PMHalo 3 was the only one I played online a lot. So that. Apparently, there were no bad maps in Halo 2. At least, shipping maps. I heard Tombstone was shat. Relic was DLC, right? I didn't enjoy that very much. Coag was made of as many dicks (seven) as Blood Gulch.

Can't see how Halo 3 would win this. It's my favorite game but there are a lot of bad maps. Halo 3 bad maps: Blackout (took good stuff out of lockout) Cold Storage Epitaph Ghost Town High Ground Isolation Orbital Standoff There are good ones too, obviously, and even more that are meh.
-
Halo 2, without a doubt. Halo 1 is a close second. Halo 3 is an extremely distant third; map quality went downhill with 3.

Edited by Oneironaut: 5/24/2013 2:40:49 AMCE hands down. Idgaf what anyone says. As soon as I get my gaming PC that's the first game I'm getting.

Halo 2
-
Halo 2, without a doubt. Lockout, Zanzibar, Coag...add in the enjoyment from exploiting glitches like superjumps, ways to get out of the map, glitching vehicles (ramming the scorpion with a wraith, for example), and the sheer massive community that Halo 2 had due to the incorporation of clans, and you've got (IMO) the best multiplayer experience to date.
-
As pessimistic as I am towards Halo 2, I have to admit the maps were excellent. But then it's a matter of quality vs. quantity. I felt Halo CE's best (Blood Gulch, Sidewinder, Damnation, Hang 'Em High) were better than 2's best (Headlong, Waterworks, Lockout, Ascension) but that Halo 2 had the better consistency (minus lolBackwash). Halo 3's selection was very good, but not near CE and 2's.

I never got to play much of it, but I think Halo 2 had the most unique maps.
-
I would have to say Halo 3. I just can't think of a map that I hate I in it. I loved Valhalla, Construct, Narrows, Sandbox, Guardian.
