So... I have been watching this game since i heard about it E3 2012 and i cant help but feel intensely disappointed by the whole experience. I thought the entire game was going to be a super-serious, dark, intellectual thrill ride. A game where we really begin to explore the controversy that is being so connected.
...at the end of the day this game feels exactly like a GTA made by Ubisoft and with some hacking... BUT I DONT WANT ANOTHER GTA! We already have games like GTA, Mafia, and Saints Row. WE DONT NEED ANOTHER ONE!
I guess i was just expecting a lot more from a company like Ubisoft, but i guess this is the same company that killed Assassins Creed.
What are your thoughts?

The game was great except for one part... Who's great -blam!-ing idea was it to have the Iraq battle work that way? Terrible... I think I failed 5 or 6 times because of the way it worked. You have to sit through a monlogue for 5 minutes. Even if you set traps up the enemy spawns are completely random. Most of my deaths were from enemies spawning behind me and since Aiden has such low health I would die before I could move to another cover. Not to mention the enforcer can't be knocked down so another one of my deaths was from that. Even if you sneak up on him he'll turn around and one shot you because the beat down icon doesn't come up. Iraq also has insane auto aim to compensate for him having low health. I would pull out a sniper and start shooting at him in focus mode and even then he would kill me.

Killed Assasins's Creed? Funny, they're still getting great reviews and selling millions. And lots of people loved the last one.

I really enjoyed the game.

I enjoyed playing it

I was super excited that a game that looks good was in chicago! ... And then I saw a gameplay trailer.
-
Nothing about it's gameplay looked any different than GTA4. The edgy cinematic trailers were kinda nice.
-
It had cool mechanics but an utterly pitiful open world in terms of having anyfun or meaningful things to do.

EXTREMELY glad I didn't fall to the hype.
-
yep ... and I didn't even have to buy it to know it was disappointing.
-
Actually no it is a really good game! People just hyped it to be the greatest game ever. So now people think it sucks because it is not the greatest game ever.

[spoiler} Hey Ironmanfaf long time no talk. Yea I was disappointed when I just skimmed 50 percent game completion. It was my most anticipated game to play just by myself. Super disappointed and the whole untraceable bunker was a rip off of batman. It gave me that feeling in my gut and I didn't like that vibe I was getting. So I traded in watch dogs to get a good trade in bonus for Destiny :>D. And hey is their squads being formed right now in our group?
-
Yes. I threw the game directly into the bin...

Tons of people over hype games. If you hop on the hype train you're bound to be disappointed somehow. I try to keep open minded about most games and make my mind up after I try them myself. I've never been too intrigued by watch dogs but it looks pretty fun. :)

I really enjoy it, but then again I had no expectations at all about it
