Vanguard
There have been some recent speculation as to what the vanguard is ad their activity in Destiny. Many think it is a class. Others think it may be a title or position a guardian can earn as they achieve a higher level (like a prestige) bungie is yet to release any information on the Vanguard (or for that [quote][/quote]matter, anything else) after the E3 reveal. What do you guys think? I the vanguard good or bad? Will they be playable in the game? Are they just a myth? You decide, write your comments below.

I expect that the Vanguard is a fancy in-game way of saying 'we don't want to tell you about this yet, so we're going to have this mysterious character here from the Vamguard'.

1 ReplyI really hope its not a myth cuz me and my fire team looking to be come Vanguard. And i fill onces we we all do we should get vanguard armor and weapons. Plus i would hate that wasted money on a Vanguard shirt that i cant become.

I bet it's an anti-class, like a guardian that chooses not to have special abilities through a specific class, but to stay somewhere in between.Said guardian would benefit from other perks maybe. I don't think it's a realistic idea but it would be kind of nice XD

What I know: 1: Vanguard is a special secondary title awarded to certain guardians. (GameInformer said Jones had a Hunter Vangaurd) 2: This title is achievable, but we won't know how to achieve it for a while. (from a mail sack) 3: The Vanguard have the job of exploring territory first. (Under Destiny information page for certain vistas) ____3a: This could mean they play-test a chapter before it is released to the public or simply can access the chapter a day, maybe even a week early.

1 ReplyThe vanguard is Bungie. That is why they were wearing vanguard t-shirts at E3. So maybe there is a specific class that Bungie may play as if you run into them in game. However I do not think that the vanguard is a playable class by a regular player. Vanguard = Bungie

I think it's more of an honorable rank. Like, if you prove your worth. I believe only the best guardians will be selected as the vanguard. And as the name suggests, these guys are the rangers. They go out into unexplored territory clearing the way for others behind them. So think more guardian spec ops
