Do you guys think there will be local splitscreen? I know it has to be online, I'm just saying like two XBL or PSN users on the same console. I'm curious as to how they would have this work. Would the guest just be at lvl 0 the whole time? Would he also be able to level up? Please comment below.

Edited by Astro Stud: 9/20/2013 3:52:56 AMI have grown increasingly disappointed with this accelerating trend towards solo-gaming. Hopefully there will be split screen in some form. If so, I would like the guest to gifted and limited with the same level, gear and weapons as the host.

Edited by Regicide: 7/24/2013 12:01:59 AMI am definitely supporting this idea, as i spend most of my time on borderlands or halo playing split-screen. I definitely enjoy the split-screen experience more so then solo when it comes to large open-world games....

I doubt split screen will be in destiny

I'm expecting something like borderlands, where each player has their own profile. I am curious however, how will this work with the always online Destiny? Will each player have to have an online profile? Or will one be able to use a local profile and just on next through the online one? I really like that idea as it is cheaper, but we'll have to see.

I think there will be in online multiplayer, but no split screen in MMO open world. Lots of people have said that an MMO style game wouldn't support split screen so I guess I'm believing them now :) Now my hopes are that there will be a split screen option in all Destiny's modes. (campaign, MMO and MM) Me and my bro will be buying two PS4s, but it would be nice to have the option for a friend to play with you too. It'll sure be expensive to buy all that, but it'll be worth my cash.

Hopefully, but I doubt it tbh. I only really ever play Xbox when I'm with my friends so I use splitscreen, so not having this as a feature in a game I'll be playing a hell of a lot (destiny) would be a real shame. It seems this is just the way games are going though, they want you to play more with people over live so they make more money hahaha!

Definitely supporting this, I'm hoping they allow it! I wouldn't mind paying for two games if it was needed for account issues. If they say yes, my family and I will be very happy to have a Brave New World to explore together... from our couch ;)

Very interested in this since I cannot afford another gold account for my wife. Does anyone know if Xbox silver members can play Destiny? It would be interesting if you could hire out level appropriate NPC's that had support powers that your guest could play as.

I would like split screen.

I'd like for there to be split screen. The guest could be auto leveled to that of the main account.
-
i'd be very disappointed without splitscreen, hopefully it's like borderlands on splitscreen where we both have separate accounts. but that was a pain when i had a friend that wanted to join and could only play as a level 1 in my level 50 world

Personally I'm going with the second screen option. I'll have my setup and beside it, my wife will have her console and her screen... the second one. Way way better than split screen... lol

I really do hope bungie realizes split screen was popular in halo so that they would carry it over to destiny.
-
I want split screen but not guest mode. One of the MAJOR reasons i played halo was split screening to bond with my father besides playing foot-ball i wanted to add gaming and me and my dad has had great times and hoping to have more in destiny #destinynumba1

I think Bungie will always have a fun, cooperative, split screen experience.

they just need to do it like gearbox did with borderlands

There definitely needs to be a split screen option.
