Destiny only # 2 on GameInformer's Top 50?!?!?!?!
In the latest issue of GameInformer, Destiny was only ranked as # 2 for Top 50 most immpressive games of 2013-2014!!! TitanFall was # 1, and yes TitanFall did look cool to me and I probably will buy it someday, but Destiny # 2?!?!?!? Is this a fair rating??? Your thoughts???

Bungie has, for a long time, been seen as a niche developer. many game journalists have not even reviewed or played a Bungie game. and in all honesty, Destiny IS NOT THAT DIFFERENT than Halo. Both sci-fi, both have alien threats against Earth...yeah, they are on familiar ground. But don't think I'm not expecting Destiny will be fun, i think it will; i can just be rational about it.

If you ask me, #2 is extremely good considering the lack of information and gameplay there actually is of destiny. Hell, I'm getting a PS4 and even I think Titanfall deserves the #1 spot, because out of all the games, Titanfall seems like the only real "I NEED THIS GAME" Game (of course, excluding destiny). that plus the public actually got to play it. that's just my opinion, so it should be worth about as much as a jar of dirt.

That seems rather weird because while titanfall does look impressive im more interested in destiny another game that id be more interested in is elder scrolls online

Titanfall has been mapped out well and we have seen gameplay demos that basically sum up the whole experience of that game. Few real journalists will throw their eggs into a basket that has not been researched and I honestly am surprised it it even as high as #2 for this reason. As the release date gets closer and more information about Destiny is leaked to us, the media support of the game will increase. This is far too early to be assuming anything. I must say, though, that "only #2" in a list of 50 is a strange way to word things. No. 2 out of 50 is pretty dang good and I have to feel that Bungie agrees with me.

Titanfall does not appear to be on any Playstation platform; however what us likely boosting it at present is that it is coming out on PC.

What kinda response do you expect from the destiny -blam!-ing forums? Admit it, there are games coming out next year that will be AS good as destiny, and it is bungies job to separate themselves from the rest. Bungie will do fine. Stop paying attention to petty ratings and rankings.

Maybe those who wrote that list have had a chance to get hands-in Titanfall. That may be enough to bump it ahead of destiny which they haven't had a chance to feel yet.

Probably fairer than any opinion here, yes destiny looks the best game this year but that's because our fragile minds have been altered by all the pretty pictures here on b.net, don't let 'the man' tell you otherwise.

Its an appropriate titleing. Destiny is my #1 and Titanfall #2.

I'd say that's an appropriate top 2. Personally I'm more excited for Destiny, but I can totally see why Titanfall is #1. Innovating on how players move across the map, and changing up FPS with mechs and proper balance between them and the pilots. Plus it's from the makers of CoD Modern Warfare and we all know how popular that is.

5 RepliesWill look at E3, Gamescom, PAX Prime, and Tokyo Game Show, Titanfall got over 50 awards so yes they shod be #1; and why are you mad last year The Walking Dead (the 360 Arcade game) got the Game of the Year award. That game beat COD, Halo, Journey, Far Cry 3, Mass Effect 3 and more at the VGAs

Maybe b/c nobody really knows how this is going to play out. Even w/ all the weekly blogs and updates we're still in the dark. And the rating will probably change w/ the beta.
