Infant Loss Awareness Month

It is officially October and thus the start of Infant loss awareness month. I am heading into the seventh month without my son Charlie, and to be honest it is quite difficult still to get out of bed everyday and continue the true grind that we call life. I know that there are several others out there that know this pain. We all need something in our life that allows us some peace, but finding it is hard, it is even harder creating a place that you feel comfortable sharing your feelings and fears. This is truly the first time I have tried talking about it openly with random strangers without the fear of being judged. I can only hope that other fathers and mothers who have had this tragedy befall them find that place that they can be at peace and know that their child knew without a doubt how much we cared for them, and also to know that that love was reciprocated even though it wasn't for as long as we wanted.
