CODE OF CONDUCT
These aren't rules. We are all here to have fun. It’s your free time and you are free to enjoy that in a manner you see fit. But we are all dads and the alliance is carrying nearly 500 clan tags at present.
Below is how we would expect any normal human being to act.
1. No Hacking/Cheating
While there may be questionable game mechanics found once in a while, the DoD does not tolerate wilful hacking or cheating by a clan or player. If for example we are made aware that you have been banned by Bungie for lag switching, you will be removed from the clan.
A good cheese however is nice (see schnuck1 for details :) – but if you do hack or cheat, you will be banned.
2. Activity
We do not have a mandatory minimum activity requirement – all members are here to have fun and enjoy gaming as they see fit.
But if you haven't played let’s say 3 or 4 months, we will remove you from the clan. Inactivity does hurt everyone's playtime and we like to keep an active group.
3. Respect
As all members of DoD can have varying schedules and different ways they play, be mindful that in the end we are all here to game and enjoy our available free time. There is no reason to belittle or gripe about a fellow member.
This also applies to general gaming, we are dads with other priorities. It’s called life and we all suffer with the condition, so just be respectful to one another.
4. Maturity
While we are a large and varied group, we do expect that our members maintain a level of maturity when required. No matter your age or position in life, that person on the other side of the headset is a person like you just trying to enjoy their free time.
Keyword here is “when required" – you generally know how your fireteam ticks, and if you’re new to a team, you tend to find out pretty quickly.
5. Loyalty
We won’t ask anyone to put their life on the line but we do expect members that choose to join, to maintain their DoD clan tags and remain exclusive to a clan within our alliance. This doesn't mean you cannot play with other players from other clans, DoD or not. But do try to help and support your fellow guardians within the alliance as a priority where possible.
