bounties
Anyone interested in setting up a regular get together to tackle the vanguard bounties? I can manage most on my own but it's more fun with a fireteam!

Great - I'm available most evenings between about 7 and 10. Normally like to try and combine some bounties and pick up a public event (to get my shard for the day). Then if I have any time left maybe tackle a strike. Anyone who's interested just jump in or if you put something on here I can arrange to jump on at around the same time.

I'm about 200 rep/points off hitting rank 3 vanguard at the moment, I've been smashing the vanguard bounties to get this far, shame you'd not posted earlier as I've done 90% of them on my todd. Not sure what's going to happen when I hit the rank 3, is there any point doing the bounties to get more rep? is there a rank 4? or will it be a case of siding with the war cult, new monarchy etc and feed bounty rep into these though what's the point as their armour & weapons have the same ratings as far as I can see. Destiny throws up more questions than answers...

I jumped on and did the heroic weekly strike on a higher level (26) just to get some extra coins for Xur the other day. If it wasnt for the help of a couple of others from here I'd have had no chance of making my way through it. My armour was weak and weapons weren't quite cutting it.

5 RepliesI've read that after rank 3 you get a reward for each subsequent rank you achieve like you do with the cryptarch, so an engram and some glimmer probably. After I hit vanguard rank 2 I sided with Dead Orbit and am just about to hit rank 2 with them however I only realised last week that the 3 different factions seem to specialise in what stats their armour has, so Dead Orbit has armour with discipline and strength, Future War Cult has discipline and intellect, and New Monarchy has intellect and strength. So I guess depending on which cooldowns you want to reduce (super ability, grenade, melee) will determine which faction to side with. @TheTLady, I wouldn't mind teaming up for some of the "Do this mission with heroic modifer active" type bounties. They don't seem worth the effort of doing them by myself for 100 vanguard rep and some XP but with a fireteam you could probably fly through most of them.
