Level 25 Hurdle

I happened to be soloing the weekly at level 28, about 5mins before I killed the boss I saw Longman on so invited him in for some nice free loot. I ran out of ammo at the end so had to resort to harsh language. Plus, I had just died by throwing a grenade in my face, twice. Such a pro... Although I did have a baby on my lap in my own defence.

Morning mate, My advice would be to concentrate on getting your Vanguard rep up and get earning some marks to purchase a full set of Legendary armour from the Hunter Vanguard at The Tower. You could do as you've done through PVP but you'd need crucible rank level 3 before you can purchase that equipment (for Vanguard rank it's only level 2 required). The best way to maximise the rep is take those bounty's. The best ways to earn marks are the daily heroics and tiger strike playlists. Then it's a case of sticking with that armour and levelling it up through use, through farming whatever material it needs and earning the ascendant shards. The jump to an exotic will really help also. For that concentrate on the weekly strikes to earn Strange coins. Then visit Xur at the weekend and purchase an exotic piece of armour. Hope that helps.

I feel your pain, I was stuck on level 24 for nearly 2 weeks & I almost canned the game. I made the mistake of building up rep on the Vanguard, Crucible & FWC fractions at the same time by swapping between the three, when I should have ploughed all my efforts into one, so I changed it and concentrated on just the Vanguard up to rank 2 for legendary armour & then on to rank 3 for legendary weapons. I would second pretty much what SilverSurfer has said below, however to be clear on one point though on crucible, vanguard and all the other fractions (FWC, Dead Orbit etc) legendary armour can be purchased at "rank 2" & legendary weapons at "rank 3". I would concentrate on whatever fraction (vanguard, crucible or fwc) you have the most rep on already so it's the quicker route to rank 2 then carry on to rank 3 with that same fraction. crucible marks earned in the crucible will either go to your crucible rep or other fraction depending on whether you are wearing their cloak or not. Vanguard marks from strikes, again will go to vanguard rep or to a fraction if you are wearing their cloak I would team up with some other guys on here at a similar level to you, hopefully some guys reading your post might be interested or put a shout out on the forum asking for Level 25 guys. You could also ask some higher level guys if they can carry you though some harder missions, within reason though Other than that keep grinding away fella, it will all come good in the end.
