Interesting article, well worth a read, thought it best to share. Are we all just level 20? Discuss.... .

  • No different from when i played world of warcraft many years ago, within the first hour of playing a new expansion most of your hard earned gear that you spent months earning in raids and pvp was replaced with easily obtainable quest rewards. At least i can still use my 300 weapons, in WoW your old weapons were pretty useless very quickly

    • Agree with a lot of that article. I'm struggling to find the enthusiasm for the new raid. If you look at how much time you will have to put in to not only get the raid gear but also the upgrade materials for them it's going to be many months for most people before they can hit 32 at which point the second expansion will drop and it will all be obsolete again (like VoG gear and weapons are now). I enjoy the mechanics so it'll be fun to do it a few times but where's the incentive to keep doing it and to go back and do VoG again? I wish they'd given us a good reason to run the raids multiple times by giving us something that can be carried forward into future expansions but at the moment it doesn't feel that way to me.

      • Yep it certainly is a big flaw in the game.... I was gutted last week to find out all that VOG raiding and then grinding in the Iron Banner last time to get all the armour needed to take me to Level 30 ready for "the Dark Below" had to be so easily and quickly tossed away in favour of new armour to hit Level 31... Whilst it's been very enjoyable to get to level 30 it does feel like a kick in the teeth now and I suspect it will happen again. Wait till we all grind our arses off to get level 32 with our Radiant dance gear etc only to all be replaced in the first week of "the House of Wolves" next year....
