Leveling up after 23
I recently reached touched level 20 and getting to 23 was easy by fully upgrading the rare items. But After 23.4 level, am stuck at it and haven't got any Legendary piece containing extra lights. All engrams/upgrade I got in bounties or either uncommon or rare and doesn't' contain any lights.
No idea how all you cool guys are doing it, any tips?

Do the bounties for rep. The strikes will help help you earn marks for gear. I'd stick with VG until you hit rank 2 unless you want to farm crucible marks instead. As you earn marks, buy the helm last as it costs the most... Unless you're also earning crucible marks to get gear from factions or you have exotic gloves or a chest (consider this as option if you have 13 coins or 26 motes). I would also recommend the daily story for at least 1 ascendant material (try to attempt or have a buddy help) and doing at least 1 public event... This will help build up your mats to upgrade and doing one event a day gives you a package that can give you coins, motes, or ascendant materials.

2 RepliesIf you want to make it fast (but maybe not the best way): Lvl up a faction instead of crucible/vanguard. The reason ist really simple. You can do crucible bounties and vanguard bounties to get reputation. All in all it goes faster. If you just want regular progress, go with vanguard. Crucible takes longer than vanguard

I was level 24 for ages expecting to get a drop of something legendary eventually..but it was only after I bought something Legendary.by..as 'fuhQbch' says leveling up Crucible rank and buying something....

Level up your crucible or vanguard rep, once you hit level 2 (fastest ways are bounties and patrols for vanguard) you can buy legendary gear from them.
