In 2014 I was serving in the military. In May that year me and my girlfriend broke up. It was a dark time for me and I remember those days as the dark days. This was also the time when I made my PSN tag, DarkChildOfLight.
Then one day in July or August I was browsing youtube and there were all these beta videos of Destiny. I got onboard the hype train after seeing all the awesome dance parties in the tower.
I played from Day 1 for almost a full year. I finally left the miltary in September 2015. I also stopped playing Destiny.
Destiny came at a time when I most needed it. And I made so many great friends! I founded a few large clans. Flawless Raiders Alumni has 700+ members. I did almost everything that there was to do - even the loot cave. The only expansion I didn't play was The Taken King. But I did get the Platinum Trophy in late November of 2014.
I loved Destiny and the community. And without it I have no idea how I would have coped.
But things are very different now. I am no longer in the military and I have been back together with my girlfriend since October 2015. We now have a mortgage together and I have an engagement ring for her. She asked me if I wanted her to get my Destiny 2 for my birthday which is coming up later this month. I told her not to.
Destiny 2 will only remind me of my darkest days - no matter how great the game is. I don't want to feel those emotions that I had back then. I don't want to get depressed.
So for everyone who feels I abandonded them or didn't like the game anymore, now you know the truth. Destiny was my coping mechanism and I fear that if I start to play it again that things in my life will take a downturn.

What will you do with the clan? Who will take leadership and lead the clan into Destiny 2?
