Guardians!
It's high time we setup a training camp for Raiders.
Running -The Vault- is the goal we're all working towards. It's the 'End Zone'. It's the pot of Gold at the end of the Rainbow.
I'd like to help as many of you move onto the end game content as I can. With the help of other Veteran Raiders, I'd like to start a Vault Boot Camp.
All veteran Raiding Guardians had to start off as Supplicants and we all had to have some assistance getting through the time stream the first couple of times until we learned the ropes and the relic. I want to help, I want each of you to be able to stand at the summit of Atheon's staircase and dance on his ashes.
There are some basic requirements-
• You need to at least be lvl 26 (at this level you'll be very squishy, higher lvl = less squishy)
• You need to have some weapons that are maxxed (if you need tips on how to get this done, send me a PM and I'll give you some pointers)
• You need to be able to set aside a couple of hours to do the raid. (At least for the first couple of runs, as it is NOT and easy task to accomplish)
• You need to bring team spirit. The Vault can be frustrating, for everyone. Remember to stay Cool - Calm - Collected and keep an open mind and willingness to learn.
• You need to pray to RNGesus before we step foot in the Vault.. But I've found in my own experience that praying for your fellow guardians to get the gear they need tends to translate to getting some pretty sweet loot yourself.. RNGesus is gracious, if you heart is in the right place.
Let's do this!
If you're a Veteran Raider, and feel like you could help others learn the ins & outs of the Raid, sign up as a mentor - We'll need several for this to work, we need at least a 1:1 ratio
If you're a trainee let us know and we'll set up a time to bring you into a group of Raiders.

I think it would be a good idea if. We had a Relic only training. I was always a little intimidated at first but got it probably after 4 tries. Maybe if someone has a atheon check point and have 3 vets and 3 trainee. We can only concentrate on relic and not worry about winning. I think people after a few tries will get the hang of it and get more confident. * for me if you are in a group and Is trying to beat atheon. There is a added pressure for new people not to grab the relic. If we just have a no pressure session this will help anyone from feeling like they are screwing up. What do you guys think?

I've never done the raid. Looking for some mentoring. I should be good to go at 9-10 EST tonight. Depends on when the wife wants tongi to bed. I have a level 28 warlock. Shooting a Monte Carlo that still has some room for upgrades. My armor still could use some work but I can't get an ascendant shard to save my life. Any help would be appreciated. PS3: salpacino14

Total VoG noob here, but have a 27 1/2 Titan with both specs maxed and 1200+ armor rating, legendary solar sniper+legendary void FR, and legendary arc RPG+legendary solar MG. Usually online weekdays after 5:30 or so and most weekends, aside from Sunday(might play a few hours on Sunday). Would love to run VoG at least once before, or even after TDB gets released. PSN is YerMomOnSkates.

I am an admin over at DoD backwater, I am hardened veteran of the raid and know most of the ins and outs. I am always willing to answer any questions any of you have. Also The Unknown group has a raid training program that is run by myself and loosemoose. I run a training raid on normal most Fridays around 10pm CST. Loosemoose runs his on Saturdays. Feel free to private message either of us for a slot if you need experience. My friends list is always full being spread out over four clans, but I always make room for new trainees. Would be glad to call myself a mentor, and look forward to getting more of our brothers in arms raid ready. Falcon2_420

What is the quickest way to level up equipment? I have been doing bounties and vanguard strikes out the wazoo and seems like its taking forever to upgrade my weapons. Trying to level up my Bad Juju n Unfriendly Giant. (Also looking for a legendary special weapon preferably fusion rifle. Using a fully upgraded rare at the moment.)

We got times and teams set up,yet? I'm more excited than if you told my daughter she was getting a dog :-D
-
I would really like to be involved!!! I'm a total VoG trainee though! psn: jRaLcB lvl27+ Warlock
-
I would love to do this. Most likely I will not be able to until Christmas. Sigh. The wife is holding my headset hostage. Weep for me my brothers. Weep as no Guardian has ever wept before!
-
I can mentor as well. I know everything except the relic holder. Well I know it, but the execution is similar to cipher's complaint: I spaz out like a virgin handling breasts for the first time. Btw, we should see if Kamel can pin this to the announcements...
-
I've never run the vog, so I'd be looking for a mentor. I'm on the east coast, I work third shift so I'm on during the days. Level 29 warlock, and I have a mic.
-
Would love to be a part of this. I need help gettin through it. Have done it once and have seen plenty of videos. Not a veteran. I am a noob when it comes to the raid but am a solid player otherwise. 29 lock 27 Titan. No mic.
-
I've been through a couple times but with the most recent hotfix I think its high time we all learn to take the templar down the right way, no more cheesing it :P
-
I'd like to get in on this. Am a VoG virgin. My Warlock is level 29. Have studied vids of the raid so have an idea of what is needed. Am in the UK so will have to communicate with raid times should I get an invite. Cheers.
-
I'm pretty knowledgeable of the vault and I've lead a team all the way to a the on before so I could help
-
Veteran reporting for duty!
-
Count me in.
-
I need to run this Raid quite a bit. I have only run it twice so I would be looking for a mentor. PSN ZBlur System PS4 or PS3 I have a Mic and headset Level 29 Hunter. I am the East coast and have a second job so Monday and Wednesday are not good for me but every other day should be ok
-
Edited by pYSCHeVAL-FAIL: 12/1/2014 8:27:54 PMI really want to do it but it takes forever for me to level up my equipment since I have little to no time to farm for materials and xp. Any help as to how to hurry this step up would be greatly appreciated.
-
I'm keen to be a supplicant, still at light level 25 though, but getting better gear is proving elusive.. I know the VoG, I understand the majority of how it all works, but have never run through it myself.
-
I don't mind helping people learn it. Me and Yuki have been trying to get some new guys through this last week. Just gonna have to practice the proper way for killing the templar now but not really worried about that.
-
Excellent idea and i'll let you know when I get there...!
