Gone for a while
My ps3 either needed a good cleaning or I've happened upon the yellow light of death..... I have no idea if I'll be back on if its the latter.....

Good luck. I had a launch version of the ps3 fat crap out on me last January. I had to replace it after, thank god, getting my saved games uploaded to ps+. If you need a new one try out cowboom.com. they are. Best Buy company and thats where I got mine for a decent price

I'm not down and out yet I've managed to obtain some article silver and I am successfully going through the steps to fix the overheating version of the yellow light of death. Cross your fingers and pray to rngesus that it works.

figured it out yet? If your ps3 is down - see if someone has one they aren't using anymore. I put it on Facebook and had one in 5 minutes.
