Gen 4 seems to have a very divided opinion. A lot of people hate it, some like it. For the most part I think it had a lot of good designs, and some decent music in the soundtrack. But I found Sinnoh to be quite a boring region and some places, and the starters were kind of meh. Still, I prefer it over Gen V, Gen V is easily the worst. What do you think of Gen 4 D/P/PT?

I loved Platinum. And HeartGold.

It introduced the much needed physical/special split, so it was definitely a step forward.

Edited by The Random: 6/4/2014 12:08:04 PMI thought Platinum was great, there was a lot I liked about it. Generation IV still has the best art style out of any other generation IMO. The new Pokemon (except Arceus, I -Blam!-ing hate Arceus) were awesome. I liked the Sinnoh region itself a lot. The starters were cool too, with Torterra being my favorite. With the Gold/Silver remakes taken into account, Generation IV is my favorite generation.

In terms of Pokémon and new mechanics, I think Gen IV was great. The only Gen IV game I played was SoulSilver, though, so I can't really say whether or not Sinnoh was any good. And I thought Gen V was good...

Gen 4 is actually my favorite. I played through all 3 of its games.

I liked D/P/PL What is wrong with them? They were great games. Actually my 2nd favourite pokemon is in that gen. Not to mention it also introduced a pokemon with base 120 all the way through. Arceus is my 2nd favourite pokemon btw. We all know my first nowadays :p

A few good Pokemon, but it's my least favorite gen. In terms of added Pokemon 3>1>2>6>5>4 In my opinion of course. But Sinnoh was not as bad as Hoenn's 10000 miles of surfing
