Our community is built around the idea that while having a community of gamers is fun, we do have lives outside of our consoles.     You go to your profile page, then 'settings,' then 'avatars and themes,' then you pick an avatar, then you hit 'save.' Note that you have to do this from the website. You cannot change your avatar from the app.
