raid loot system question.

So, I just finished the normal raid with a few DD members including Cr34tur3_5lim3, and noticed some things. The loot and was awful, for me at least. In the chests, I got nothing but ascendent energy, which I don't need. I got the raid chest piece which would be great, if I didn't already have a fully upgraded VoudFang Vestments. And all I got for beating Atheon was a scout rifle, which I don't use, and a ship...A SHIP! I didn't even get chatterwhite. So I have a question, what do you think of the loot system for the raid, if you don't like it, tell me what you got.
