Destiny - Fireteam Acronyms

Fireteam/group finding acronyms: lfg = looking for group. lfm= looking for more. lfxm = looking for x more (i.e. lf2m = looking for 2 more). fresh run = vault of glass run starting from the beginning. X save = a vault of glass run starting at X (i.e "lf1m Atheon save" = looking for one more starting at Atheon checkpoint). have/need X CP = indication that you have a certain checkpoint, or are looking for a certain checkpoint (i.e. "lfg have gatekeeper cp" means looking for group to start vault of glass run starting with my gatekeeper checkpoint save). nm = normal mode. hm = hard mode. VOG = the Vault of Glass raid. 300/300/300 = primary, special and heavy weapon fully upgraded. sherpa = someone with experience and patience who is willing to help unfamiliar or new entrants through a difficult task and answer questions along the way. joey = someone without experience who needs to be carried through a task (i.e a baby kangaroo); alternatively described as cheese loot warriors with little actual experience in high level content, usually seen repping the highest weapons/gear that are not maxed out, expecting to get an invite because they lie about their level of experience and proceed to unintentionally sabotage the team's efforts. frank = the rarely seen friend of a "joey" who is competent and helpful but embarrassed by joey; often apologizes for joey's conduct/uselessness after joey leaves the fireteam. kyle = not to be confused with a 'joey', a 'kyle' may lack experience and knowledge, but is actually a pleasure to have in the fireteam; unfortunately, a 'kyle' tends to have very bad luck. squeaker = a disproportionately under-aged fireteam member whose gregarious nature and voice pitch sounds like squeaking to the rest of the fireteam; related to a 'joey' in their tendency to overstate their own ability/skill level. whammy = a disproportionately under-leveled character compared to the rest of the fireteam. PUG = a pick-up group (i.e. a group of strangers brought together for this strike/raid/etc), not to be confused with 'public/unknown/gold' from Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. AFK = from 'away from keyboard', means someone who is idle or has otherwise stepped away from the game while their character remains in-world. randos = (pronounced 'ran-dohs') shorthand term for random allies you are paired with through destinylfg, /r/fireteams, or matchmaking.
