A Taken Guardian

I wish to propose a question. We know how the taken are "born". When a minion of darkness is sucked into the taken realm/oryx's realm and come back. What do you think happens to a guardian? Would they die upon entering the realm? Would they lose their light? I don't believe we fully know the extent of what happens when someone (or thing) is taken. We might even see a taken guardian in the dlc, if we're lucky
