Have we covered anything about the darkness

From previous reports about the fallen, hive, cabal, and the timeless vex, have we actually explored the matter of the deeper darkness within this galaxy, someday we will have to face. But if we are to ever face it we must understand truly all our enemies. The traveler may be in a damaged state but perhaps he holds knowledge of what is to come, or is it the city consensus leaving is guardians in the dark.
