Pre Guardian Question
I have recently gotten into the lore of destiny but I am still confused on one thing. I know out ghosts brought us back from the dead but what were we before we died? Where we guardians that fell years before or were we just people who died before the guardians came about?

It was always my head cannon that we were guardians of the past. Some of us from the long past, some of us more recent. We just can't remember because we were dead for so long.
