The Harbingers

I have one question about the Queen Mara's assault on the Dreadnaught. Where were the harbingers, I know the Queen used that spell with the techeuns that created those orbs of death. Were those the harbingers? I thought the harbingers were a combination of golden age weaponry and awoken magic. I would really hate if those orbs were the harbingers, just wanted to see if I missed something in the grimoire. Thank you
