The night was silent.
...
I walked beneath the Dead Star Eye.
I knew not where I was, nor where I was going, but I walked nonetheless.
The Twilight world burns in every direction. Oceans of green flame, suspended upon the brink of a universal equity. The antithesis of the Light.
...
The Great Eye stared down at me, and I stared back.
...
As I saw it, I knew that it did not exist, as it knew of me.
It was a mere shadow cast upon the flickering instants of my actuality by the light of another reality.
I gazed into the burning glare, cast by the weeping un-fire static upon the edge of Crepuscular Light, and I saw the Shadows.
The Shadows danced in the light, crooning ancient hymns of death, and reverence, and unwavering darkness.
...
The shadows spoke to me.
...
I could not hear the words, but I understood.
They spoke no sounds of meaningful utterance, and yet I fathomed their speech.
...
My mind had shattered.
...
I knew of everything, and nothing.
What I knew was neither true, nor false, as it never was, and would never come to pass.
I was the aperture within which the Darkness convenes.
...
There is a wound in my mind, that which I know can never be undone.

This is a ballad of the ancient world that Crota ruled. I took some influences from what I read in the Grimoire cards, and a little bit from some gear descriptions within the game. Feel free to look for some of the little Easter Eggs I've hidden in this, and some of the deep thoughts that I implemented into it (: Feedback, and criticisms of any kind are also greatly appreciated as well. I worked very hard on this, so thank you to anyone who takes time out of their day to read this c:
